Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Lewes, DE
Shift Type: Nights
Shift Times: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Hours/Day: 12-hour shifts (FT - 3 shifts per week)
Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends; 1 weekend a month
Hourly Range: Starting at $31.83 and up (based on experience)
Salary Range: $66,206.40 annually
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 ($5,000 after 3 months and $5,000 after 6 months of employment)
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist will perform computerized axial tomography (CAT) procedures according to professional standards and departmental guidelines. The role requires technical skill in performing CT scans, patient interaction, and collaborating with other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
Review consultation requests and consult with radiologists as necessary.
Obtain patient history and ensure correlation with scan.
Perform routine and emergency CT procedures, ensuring technical quality.
Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self in accordance with prescribed standards.
Administer contrast media and evaluate lab values prior to the procedure.
Assist radiologists with CT-guided biopsies and drainages.
Perform IV injections as needed.
Maintain documentation, including consent forms, contrast reactions, and other related paperwork.
Maintain equipment by performing visual safety inspections and reporting any issues.
Continuously seek educational opportunities and share knowledge with the team.
Stock supplies and keep work areas clean and organized.
Required Skills and Certifications:
Education: Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
Certifications:
ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) Required
BLS (Basic Life Saving) Required
One year of experience in CAT Scan preferred.
Must complete Point of Care Testing training as part of Department Orientation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Able to manage confidential patient information.
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
