Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Location: Virginia Beach , VA

Shift Type: Evenings

Shift Times: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Hours/Day: 8

Shift Notes: Mon - Fri, rotating on-call weekends

Hourly Rate: $32.00 - $36.00/hour with shift differential after 3 PM

Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will provide essential mobile X-ray and EKG (if applicable) services to a variety of healthcare settings, including nursing homes, prisons/jails, and home health care environments across Virginia. You will operate portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient comfort and safety during the procedure. Your role requires independent operation in the field, efficient communication with dispatch and management, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform and process X-rays using portable digital or computed radiography equipment

Submit and transmit images to a radiologist for interpretation

Perform EKGs when required and transmit results to a cardiologist

Communicate with healthcare facilities, dispatch, and management to ensure effective service

Scan and process exam-related paperwork and billing documents

Maintain and transport X-ray equipment, ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition

Follow safety protocols for both radiology and patient care

Physical Requirements:

Ability to push/pull 50-100 lbs using ramps and pulleys

Frequent use of vehicle ramps to load/unload equipment

Ability to lift and transport equipment multiple times per day

Certification Requirements:

ARRT certification
