JOB SUMMARY
The position involves conducting quality control tests, supporting product development through sample preparation, troubleshooting, maintaining ISO standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency and safety in a laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct quality control tests on raw materials and finished products, maintaining detailed records.
Maintain a clean, organized lab environment.
Prepare and produce samples for new product development using equipment like blending machines, twin screw extrusion compounders, and injection molders.
Troubleshoot product development issues and resolve quality concerns.
Provide input during meetings, including communication, safety, and production discussions.
Participate in lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and safety.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Adhere to ISO 9001 standards to ensure product consistency and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Perform color analysis and matching for plastic products, ensuring alignment with client specifications.
Prepare and test color samples by blending pigments and additives to achieve desired outcomes.
Communicate with clients about color requirements and provide technical support.
Follow ISO 13485 standards for quality management systems in the medical device industry.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Hiring Companies ATS Questions):
1. Do you have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Plastics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2. Do you have a minimum of 1 years or more of polymer compounding experience in an R&D lab environment
