The Transportation Supervisor supervises daily transportation activities and personnel to ensure functions are performed according to our standards and guidelines. This role is responsible for managing the timeliness of driver departure in the morning, monitoring delivery progress and safety compliance, serving as the driver dispatcher and troubleshooting challenges and issues as drivers complete stops, completing driver check-in at the DC, and sharing feedback with key stakeholders. This role provides backup support to the transportation team and completes deliveries and builds routes (Roadnet) as needed. This role also helps manage all delivery trucks and equipment and ensures all DOT and corporate safety policies and regulations are followed.
You will work from Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities:
You will:
Helps drivers depart on time in the morning and resolves all truck, equipment, and load issues
Trains new drivers and completes ride-alongs with tenured drivers to drive improvements and SOP compliance
Serves as backup driver and router as needed
Serves as dispatch for drivers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products
Coaches drivers when a violation is registered by the vehicle surveillance system to prevent accidents
Completes driver check-in when drivers return to the depot. Ensures returned product is staged and tagged for processing. Forwards feedback to router and other stakeholders as needed. Updates information in operating system including delivery instructions, time windows, etc.
Helps investigate incidents and work-related accidents and submits accident reports as needed
Recommends process improvements and cost-savings ideas
Creates a culture of safety excellence and effective risk management
Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
You have:
3+ years of driver experience. Ability to drive and complete deliveries as needed. CDL a plus.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to train and provide leadership and direction to teammates and influence others to perform their jobs safely and create a culture of safety.
Knowledge of straight trucks, tractor/trailer, and material handling equipment
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations including ELD compliance management
Experience implementing process improvements and cost savings initiatives in an operational environment
Experience in a changing/growing, fast-paced organization
Good verbal, written and relational communication skills, with ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management
Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize work based on business needs
Fluent in English, Spanish a plus +
Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
High school diploma or GED (general education diploma) equivalency
