Responsibilities:
This leader has the responsibility to develop a strategic directional course for his/her department(s) which coincides with Norton Healthcare’s overall strategic plan as well as new applications and systems essential to business directions. Charged with the goal of continuous quality improvement, s/he must provide leadership and supervision to the staff members supervised. With responsibility for the overall administrative and clinical (if appropriate) direction and management of their department(s), this leader facilitates the development and delivery of excellence in service practice by evaluating and coordinating the services delivered. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to direct the services appropriate for the patient/family population being served. Integrates the department's services with the hospital's primary functions.
Key Accountabilities:
Actively promote supply chain initiatives and medication formulary decisions and P&T Committee decisions to ensure departmental compliance.
Demonstrates expertise in Pharmacy practice and the mission of the pharmacy department, including awareness of innovations in technology and practice within the profession.
Ensures that an appropriate and adequately trained FTE pool is available for the pharmacy to operate efficiently and safely.
Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards of the pharmacy department.
Provides financial direction of the pharmacy department to ensure satisfactory budget performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
One year management in a pharmacy setting
Bachelor Degree
Pharmacist
