Overview:
The Host/Hostess helps ensure that the patient's dietary needs are being met by receiving patient food orders, interpreting orders, fulfilling orders, and communicating with the Dining Services Department and Nursing Services where appropriate. This role also assists in delivering and retrieving food trays to and from patients in order to ensure efficient customer service.
Responsibilities:
Receives, interprets, and follows-through with patient's diet orders in order to provide high-quality and accurate food service.
Visits patients to introduce and explain available service from the Dining Service Department.
Helps deliver trays to patients and collects them once the patient finishes eating in order to maintain efficient and quick service.
Ensures that nutrition care diet orders are provided to the patient by offering them appropriate menu selections.
Communicates all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Dining Services Department in order to ensure the patient's dietary needs are being met.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year of customer service experience
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
