Overview:
The Title Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for ensuring all pre-paid taxes and insurances disbursed at closing are issued and processed. This specialist will review and verify all Title Insurance Premiums and Title Recording Charges match on the final Closing Disclosure, Final American Land Title Association Statement and Disbursement Ledger. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented and possess strong analytical skills to ensure proficiency in the reconciliation process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and respond to inquiries in the Escrow Title Reconciliation Inbox
Manage and process inquiries in the Post Consummation Closing Disclosure Request Inbox
Verify actual charges on the Recorded Mortgage/Deed of Trust
Verify actual charges on the Final Title policies
Obtain and upload updated Final American Land Title Association Statement Statements, Disbursement Ledgers and refunds issued to the borrower by the title company
Issue Post Consummation Closing Disclosures when applicable
Provide feedback to management on the vendor process pertaining to identifying of the actual charges for recording fees and title policy
Other duties as needed or required by management
Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in residential mortgage operation
Prior experience at title company, mortgage document custodian a strong plus
Knowledge and recognition of residential mortgage loan documentation for Conventional, Federal Housing Administration , Veteran’s Administration, and U.S. Department of Agriculture loans a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organization skills
Strong attention to detail
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration
