Overview:

Star Dental Partners (SDP) is currently seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Refund Coordinator to join our high-growth and fast-paced Dental Service Organization (DSO). This position will interact with insurance companies and receive insurance and patient refund request from affiliated dental offices, audit the refund for accuracy, process the refund on the various online payment portal, close the ticket and notify the offices of completion of the refund. Please note this role is 30 hours per week with opportunity to expand to a consistent 40 hours weekly in the future. 

The revenue cycle refund coordinator is considered a full time hourly position with the following benefits offered:

Responsibilities:

All aspects of revenue cycle may be required in this role with an emphasis on refunds. 

Payment Posting & Accounts Receivable

Enter payments and adjustments at the Provider level with a high degree of accuracy.

Collect and review all required patient insurance information to complete the billing, collections, appeal, and/or cash processes.

Assist in performing day end and month end processing.

Claims Appeals & Denials

Process dental insurance EOBs, appeals, denials, and following up with denial resolutions appropriately.

Research and resolve any electronic claim rejections.

Process any necessary insurance or patient correspondence.

Independently analyze, report, and communicate any reimbursement trends or delays, such as billing denials, claim denials, pricing errors, payments, etc.

*Perform other duties as required to support the Revenue Cycle department.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent required

1 year experience as a revenue cycle insurance coordinator within the dental industry preferred

2 years of collections, accounts receivable, and/or related experience within healthcare required

Experience in Practice Management Software (PMS) required

Work Conditions

Preference given to candidatel that are able to commute to the Plano, TX office four days weekly, Monday - Thursday. Fridays are virtual.

Ability to maintain a full-time employment schedule of approximately 40 hours per week; extended hours may be requested or required.

Prolonged sitting and standing as needed.

Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Our experienced Support Center team assists dentists with management of non-clinical staffing and human resources, finance and payroll administration, marketing, payor relations, supplies and capital equipment procurement, as well as information systems. With experience and dedicated support from professional management, dental offices are free to focus their attention on providing patient care.
