Sodexo is seeking our Hands On Catering Manager for Creighton University is a Faith Based campus and is one of Sodexo's Showcase accounts for Campus Dining and Catering. The successful candidate will have previous supervision over Catering Events/Banquets. This Catering Manager will manage the day to day catering on campus - including faculty receptions/meetings and student events, conferences and campus - averaging 15 - 25 events per day. Experience with executive client relations, campus alumni relations as well as an understanding of setting up buffets to high end service will provide the foundation of success for this role. Reporting to the Catering Manager/Director, this Catering Manager 2 will support high end plated service to high volume buffets.

Ability to handle catering at all levels from students to executives

Review all catering event orders and weekly catering sheets to ensure accuracy.
Organize events, ensure on-time setup, and ensure employees offer consistently superior service.
Collaborate with other department managers to ensure successful event execution.
Be actively involved in events to collect in the moment feedback.
Conduct constant event walk-throughs to evealuate and meet service quality and customer satisfaction.
Conduct pre-shift meetings to ensure organizational efficiency and continuous safety training.
