Overview:

Responsible for assisting other team members in designing layouts and other graphic elements of marketing materials for both print and digital use.

Our internship program is designed to give students experience with projects and performing tasks within their hired work area. You will be exposed to other areas within the organization by participating in development, culture and volunteer events. This paid internship is 10-12 weeks in length with the possibility of extending hours into the school year.

Our internship program holds an 80/10/10 approach, meaning that 80% of your work time will involve performing tasks or working on projects within your hired work area. Another 10% of the time, you will be exposed to learning in other areas within your assigned division to get more corporate experience. Then, the final 10% will be spent in shared experiences across the organization, where you will get to really learn about our culture and work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with design team and larger marketing team including content specialists and marketing strategists to create visually compelling and effective graphics for digital and print media and larger initiatives while conforming to appropriate production requirements and company branding standards.

• Assist in the development and execution of creative concepts, layouts, and visual design solutions for various projects.

• Provide web and HTML creative design for digital mediums such as the company website and other platforms as assigned.

• Learn and use the team filing system to help organize artwork, logos, photos, etc. Ensure file and versioning accuracy when saving and posting files. Follow guidelines for naming and storing files.

• Participate in team creative brainstorming activities.

• As stated within the Company Attendance and Punctuality policy, regular attendance is required and expected in order to meet the business service levels and workflow demands.

Qualifications:

Working towards Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, English, Journalism, or equivalent business experience

Knowledge of and experience with animation and related software Preferred

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Strong creative and artistic skills with an eye for detail

Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret organizational information, including highly technical terminology relating to product

Working knowledge of computer operating systems, including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Strong organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, as well as change work practices and priorities in response to changing conditions or multiple work demands

Ability to work without close supervision, taking responsibility to ensure assigned projects are completed on time and within quality standards

Ability to work well with all types of individuals

Ability to analyze problems, form solutions, present ideas to management, and work within a team environment to complete assigned duties
