Job Purpose & Scope:

Responsible for supporting all aspects “Full-Stack” of the Bank’s cloud computing infrastructure, both public and private. This role will manage a team of engineers who ensure cloud computing principles are deployed and supported per industry standard and best practices.

Essential Job Functions:

Leads the design, oversight, and architecture as it relates to the Bank’s end-to-end Cloud infrastructure.

Collaborates with stakeholders to design, architect, and deploy Cloud infrastructure products that translate business and technical specifications into timely and cost-effective solutions.

Continuously assesses and revises existing Cloud infrastructure product sizing to ensure that the most efficient and cost-effective solutions are in place.

Architects, designs, and oversees Cloud solutions to ensure that the Bank’s needs for a strong Disaster Recovery design are met.  

Proposes, monitors, and reports relevant RTO and RPO standards and metrics.

Implements industry accepted best practices for security, scalability, reliability, and performance.

Develops, maintains, and deploys Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tooling such as Azure Resource Manager (Bicep, Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell), Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.       

Automates deployment, scaling, and management of Cloud resources using various methods including but not limited to: PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other automation frameworks.

Implements, operates, and oversees Cloud monitoring solutions and tools to ensure resource health, performance, and security of the environment.

Participates in security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and remediation to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of Azure resources.

Stays informed about Cloud security features, patches, and updates, applying them across all systems as necessary to mitigate risks.

Documents technical designs, procedures, and configurations for knowledge sharing and compliance.

Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.

Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of the process surrounding the design, development, and deployment of applications on cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Knowledge of the process surrounding the implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other similar technology to automate the software development lifecycle.

Ability to implement cloud solutions using a variety of PaaS/IaaS services, serverless compute, low-code platforms, integration services, and more.

Ability to optimize code for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring applications meet high standards of quality and security.

Ability to Identify and resolve issues related to application performance, security, and availability.

Ability to learn, embrace, and incorporate emerging trends into technology strategies to meet business needs.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work without close supervision.

Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to demonstrate excellent and effective customer service skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or commensurate work experience, required.

6+ years of technical work experience in Cloud Architecture, required.

2+ years of management, leadership or supervisory experience, required.

Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification Google Professional Cloud Architect certification, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, preferred.
