Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design seeks a well-rounded, highly motivated structural engineer with 3-8 years of experience to join our group as Design Engineer in the Civil and Marine Division of our Structural Group.  Our structural group is growing and we are in need of a forward -thinking engineer, eager to learn and grow with the company.  The work is very hands-on and diverse and covers the full range of marine/structural engineering design and inspection projects.   

Applicants will work out of the Bell Works office in Holmdel, NJ (f.k.a Bell Labs), and have the options to adopt fewer office days under a flexible hybrid work environment   Work includes both design and field work/ inspections. 

Responsibilities:

Qualified candidates will have good basis of knowledge of design and inspection of structural/marine structures, good client communication skills, a motivated learner, who works well in a team environment. 

Qualifications:

3-8 years of experience in structural engineering.

EIT Certificate required. Although Professional Engineering license is preferred, record of Passing PE exam will be recognized.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

Good working knowledge of steel, concrete, timber design; and familiarity with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary in order to effectively communicate with clients and employees.

Compotent or proficient in AutoCad.

Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
