Responsibilities:

The Ticketing Services team is responsible for the development and support of services products that provide rental ticketing business capabilities.  You will be responsible for resolving production issues, implementing enhancement changes, monitoring product health, and designing initiatives planned to continue to evolve our services to align with our new API first strategy.  You will work closely with many different client teams such as Greenlight, Frictionless, kiosks, mobile applications, and websites to ensure a consistent ticketing experience for our customers.  It is a very exciting time to be a part of Ticketing Services, as we support the development of new clients and enable our business to grow through the implementation of new capabilities. 

As an Engineer 2, you will work with technical leadership to develop and modify many different elements of technology. You will be expected to represent your team in a positive manner within and outside of your department. You will collaborate with other engineers and architects to provide recommendations for implementing new solutions and business capabilities, ensuring security standards are met. You will be responsible for ensuring your tasks are completed and deadlines are met. You will also be required to meet key performance metrics to ensure compliance of established standards, processes, and procedures. You must be able to work in a fast paced, production environment and can handle multiple tasks. You will analyze, design, develop, test, maintain, document, and install standalone and client/server software applications using Java, JUnit, and Oracle.

You will work with a collaborative team that consistently works on high-priority efforts delivering business specific technical solutions while partnering with Product Owners, Quality Assurance staff, and other Software Development Engineers. We are looking for a self-starter that will maintain established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Required:

Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

3+ years of software development experience (preferably in Java)

Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Struts

Experience creating and implementing SQL

Experience in the full software development lifecycle and end-to-end testing using unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and/or EasyMock

Experience with agile development using Jira, Confluence and/or similar tool

Good troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

Strong verbal and written communication skills 

Must have the ability to effectively collaborate and work with others in a remote work environment

Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible with changing priorities and requirements

Required to be on a periodic rotation to perform on-call duties

Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

Experience with source control management (Bitbucket/GIT experience preferred)

Experience working with an API Gateway Platform such as, Kong, Amazon API

Experience with middleware technologies like WebLogic and Tomcat

Experience with Oracle or other relational database environments

Experience with Continuous Integration (Jenkins or other)

Ability to define problems and present solutions along with supporting data to management
