Job Title: Freelance Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer
Location: London with travel required

Role Overview: The Freelance Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and commissioning of audio visual systems, specifically focusing on Crestron, Qsys, AMX, Extron, and other related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in audio visual commissioning and be willing to travel within the country to complete projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Commission and troubleshoot audio visual systems, particularly with Crestron, Qsys, AMX, and Extron platforms.
Perform programming and configuration of control systems, digital signal processors (DSPs), and video conferencing systems (e.g., Cisco, Polycom).
Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure installations meet specifications and quality standards.
Conduct system testing, calibration, and adjustments for optimal performance.
Document system configurations, commissioning procedures, and user training materials.
Provide on-site support during installations and training sessions for end-users.
Stay informed about industry trends and emerging audio visual technologies.Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer, with specific expertise in Crestron, Qsys, AMX, and Extron systems.
Strong technical knowledge of audio visual equipment, including displays, projectors, microphones, and audio systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Willingness to travel for assignments across the country.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, Crestron certification, Qsys training) are highly desirable
