We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced cardiovascular care to patients under the supervision of cardiologists and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting patient assessments, including cardiac history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing
2. Developing and implementing patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
3. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms
4. Providing patient education on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
5. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
6. Monitoring and managing cardiac symptoms, including arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-operative care
7. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
8. Participating in cardiac rehabilitation programs and counseling patients on disease management
Qualifications:
1. Current RN and NP licensure
2. Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on cardiology
3. Previous experience in cardiology or critical care setting preferred
4. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
7. Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and advocacy
