We are seeking an experienced Neurologist to become a vital part of our integrated primary and specialty care organization. You will concentrate on comprehensive neurological evaluations, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques to formulate personalized treatment strategies. With a skilled support team managing documentation and administrative tasks, you can immerse yourself in patient care, ultimately driving improved neurological health outcomes.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 9am-7pm
Friday: 9am-6pm
Sunday (rotations): 10am-4pm
Salary:
$400,000-$420,000 per year plus benefits
Job Responsibilities:
Perform thorough physical and neurological assessments to evaluate the patient’s condition, focusing on motor function, sensory perception, reflexes, and cognitive abilities.
Based on examination findings and prior documentation, formulate or adjust individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referral to other specialists as needed.
Analyze relevant diagnostic tests (e.g., MRI, CT scans, EEG) and lab results to guide clinical decision-making and discuss findings with patients.
Provide clear and comprehensive explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and potential side effects, ensuring patients understand their conditions and the importance of adherence to treatment plans.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, therapists, and specialists, to ensure holistic patient care and effective management of comorbid conditions.
Accurately record examination findings, assessments, and plans in the medical record to ensure continuity of care and facilitate communication with other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
Active New York state Neurologist License.
Minimum of 2 years relevant clinical experience in neurological examination and assessment.
Completion of residency in Neurology.
Board certification in Neurology (or board eligibility).
Proficiency in developing and implementing treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues.
Experience with electronic health records and documentation practices.
Spanish and Russian speaking preferred to enhance patient communication and care.
