Network System Architect

We are seeking a skilled Network System Architect to become a key part of our expanding operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our multi-site network infrastructure across seven different locations in Europe. Your expertise will ensure the effective design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust and adaptable network architecture that supports the growing business needs.

Responsibilities

  • You will design and implement network infrastructure: Create and implement robust network architectures, ensuring coherence across systems while integrating security measures to protect organizational data.
  • You will provide technical expertise and project support: Deliver technical guidance for various projects, addressing evolutionary and corrective requests while collaborating with external service providers to manage incidents and ensure service levels.
  • You will monitor, tune, and maintain network systems: Continuously monitor network performance, implement necessary modifications, and analyze recurring incidents to propose solutions, escalating issues as needed to enhance system reliability.
  • You will manage documentation and compliance: Create and maintain detailed operational and technical documentation, including system inventories, to support compliance and inform strategic decision-making.
  • You will supervise performance analysis, cost control, and system rationalization: Oversee the production and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to network performance and availability. You will rationalize and consolidate systems to ensure cost control and operational efficiency while ensuring that all organizational processes run smoothly and effectively.

Profile requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in relevant roles, and are fluent in English and either French OR German.
  • You possess expertise in network security and Datacom technologies, including Firewall, IDS/IPS management, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi, alongside proven experience in monitoring and tuning network systems for optimal performance.
  • You have a strong background in designing and implementing network systems, demonstrated through your ability to create and maintain operational and technical documentation while holding CCNA or CCNP level certification or equivalent experience. You can also read and understand architectural building plans, allowing for effective integration of network solutions.
  • You are skilled in Scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using tools like Ansible and Terraform, with additional experience in cloud environments, familiarity with Azure and VMware network setups, and knowledge of various access control systems.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical skills and a solution-driven mindset, with experience in managing OT networks and the ability to bridge building systems and IT. You also have a proactive attitude, the ability to collaborate with IT teams, and are willing to travel within Europe as needed. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to IT infrastructure in Europe is a plus.
