The Cleaning Crew is responsible for keeping our buildings in clean and orderly condition. The Crew performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing trash. Our taproom must be cleaned prior to opening for business every day. Duties may also include routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and basic groundskeeping and landscape maintenance. This position reports to the Property Lead.

The ideal candidate: 

Is extremely organized and detail oriented, and has strong follow through with tasks 

Possesses a positive attitude and strong communication skills 

Easily adapts to new responsibilities and learns new skills, is honest and hard working 

Works well with others and independently

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain designated spaces both inside and outside of the facility, which includes the Taproom, Brewery restrooms & mezzanine, Taproom restrooms, offices, conference room, 167 and 151 restrooms and offices  

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them 

Gather and empty trash & recycling 

Service, clean, and supply all restrooms 

Follow proper procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment 

Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created 

Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems 

Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties 

Clean and polish furniture and fixtures 

Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors 

Requirements & Expectations: 

Based in our Waitsfield, VT, headquarters 

Ability to work independently, provide self-direction, and have a positive personality! 

Able to work on your feet for 4 hours and bend to floor level with healthy alignment 

Ability to lift 50 lbs. 

Some weekend work required 

Commercial cleaning experience preferred
