LAC Federal is seeking a Collection Management and Reference Librarian. The Librarian serves as the lead for all aspects of library technical services including interlibrary loan, circulation, collections maintenance, and cataloging. Manages the acquisition of library resources for print and electronic resources. Serves as backup for reference librarian. This is a full-time, hybrid position with benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as the lead on interlibrary loans, circulation, and collection maintenance
Curates collection development recommendations
Catalogs library materials including NTP reports
Performs technical services for the library including acquisitions, cataloging, interlibrary loans, circulation, and collection maintenance
Submits orders for library materials and supplies including new books and renewals
Conducts literature searches and organizes results in EndNote
Creates bibliometric visualizations and data clean up
Assists with weekly and monthly research alerts
Manages donations program
Provides backup support to library staff on projects including the weekly report
Requirements
Must be ACA-accredited MLS (Master of Library Science)
Master’s degree in Library Science preferably with specialized or government libraries concentration
Three (3) years of experience providing customer service in a library, educational or public service environment
Three (3) years of experience using popular software programs with ability to learn new technology, preference given to candidates with experience in manuscript management systems
