Mission/Purpose

The Inergize Health Service Technician is a proactive individual eager to meticulously assess, diagnose, repair, and validate our chillers that have been returned due to warranty concerns. In this role, you will oversee the reception of machines, their restoration, testing, repackaging, and shipping. Simultaneously, you will take customer service calls to update the progress of their repairs, handle problem-solving calls with customers, and de-escalate refund claims. An optimal candidate will possess experience in heat pump repair, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the system's mechanics, including electronics.

Accountabilities:

Repair and Maintenance: Efficiently manage the receipt, troubleshooting, and repair of chillers, ensuring accurate data recording and timely communication with the Inergize Customer Service Team.

Troubleshooting and Customer Service: Conduct video call troubleshooting and effectively handle refund or warranty claims to support and de-escalate customer concerns.

Inventory Management: Systematically oversee spare parts and refurbished unit inventory, ensuring organization and timely reordering.

Communication with Suppliers: Maintain effective communication with Chinese suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Event Support: Assist in setting up chillers and tubs for events and aid in collecting customer details.

Skills to Excel:

Troubleshooting: Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical electrical or mechanical issues efficiently, using methodical and logical approaches.

Customer Empathy: Effectively communicate with customers and elevate their concerns with tactical empathy.

Strong Written & Spoken Communication Skills: Essential for handling emails, scheduling, calling people, and interacting with various parties.

Proactive Approach: Overcome challenges and make suggestions versus waiting for instructions. Capable of working independently with minimal oversight and achieving specified objectives.

Detail oriented, organized and diligent: Tend to double-check work, maintain cleanliness, and remove errors ahead of time.

What technical knowledge do you have to perform in your role?

Required

Experience: 2 years of electrical schematic experience or HVAC systems

Power Flow Comprehension: Understanding power flow from outlets through capacitors and printed circuit boards to individual components, with the ability to troubleshoot accordingly.

Computer proficiency with software; Word, Excel, G Sheets, Slack, Asana, Email, etc.

Training: Prior experience in heat pump servicing or related aftermarket service fields.

Transportation: Able to drive to Point Loma

Tools: Owns tools to fix units.

Language: Fluent in English.

Preferred 

Experience with compressors, pumps, LCD, Fans etc.

Nice to haves

Experience with Calendly Call Software.

Familiarity with Asana (or similar project management software).

Proficiency in Google Meetings (or similar video call software).

Experience with Shopify Software.

Knowledge of shipping software like Shipstation.

Home garage/workbench to work on units.

Truck to transport units

Type: Part-time, Contract

Location: San Diego-based, ideally close to Point Loma

Hours: Starting at 10-15 hours per week, ideally 3pm-5pm Monday-Friday

Pay: $19 - $30 per hour
