Job: Field Service Engineer
Location: Nationally (Based in Addison IL)
Job Type: Permanent/Full-Time
Our client, a privately held, stable, growing national importer and distributor is looking for a top candidate to join our team as a Field Service Engineer.
Field Service Engineer Essential Duties:
* Travel to install, train, troubleshoot, and repair Sawing Systems and CNC Profile Machining Centers at customer sites throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
* Train Customers to operate their machines to get optimal performance.
* Provide High-Quality Technical Support to our Customers. By phone, email, video conference, and in person.
* Perform Preventative Maintenance.
* Setup and Maintain Machines in our demonstration center
* Install Machine Options.
Experienced Field Service Engineer Qualifications:
Must-Have skills below
* Associate's Degree or Technical School Certifications
* Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
* Detailed understanding of electrical circuits and components that are used in machine tools.
* Experience working with servo drives, servo motors, and VFDs.
* Experience working with PLCs, HMI Touchscreen Controls, and operating machine tools (industrial machinery).
* Ability and work experience with CNC controls and CAM software.
* Mechanical Skills The ability to use basic hand tools and measurement devices.
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to work independently.
* Experience traveling as a field service engineer. This position will be approximately 75% travel.
