Seeking a Special Attendant for our Personal Care Services in the San Antonio, TX Area!

Are you looking for a rewarding job with the opportunity to make a difference in the daily life of a client whose life has been changed due to age or illness? Special Attendants are generally assigned to service various clients as a back-up attendant through-out the assigned territory without a in home orientation with their qualifications. We are looking for a compassionate Attendant with the dedication and professionalism it takes to work for Pride PHC PCS.

Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour

Benefits:

$.42/mile for travelling to/between client's homes

A few daily tasks may include:

Preparing/cleaning up after a meal

Assist clients with activities of daily living

Ambulatory Care

Basic home chores (sweeping, mopping, dusting)

Laundry 

Travel to client(s) homes in the service delivery area

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age be a high school graduate or be enrolled in a vocational education program

Have the ability to read and write

Must be bilingual

Has six continuous months of experience in delivering attendant care or currently a CNA that is not listed on the EMR/NAR

Have the ability to understand and carry out instructions

Provide dependable transportation to and from the client home

Must have a valid drivers’ license, and auto insurance in accordance with the laws of the State.

Moderate to heavy lifting

Able to bend, lift, and stand as necessary meeting client’s needs

Willing and able to travel to different service locations based on daily needs

Must be available to work weekends

General knowledge of basic office duties
