Job Description
A Senior/Staff Facilities Engineer is an individual contributor in a multidisciplinary field of engineering concerned with the physical infrastructure of an industrial facility. Engineers are responsible for the design, installation, operation, maintenance, modification, construction, modernization, design and protection of physical facilities and equipment (building, power, water, sewer, chemical, piping, ventilation, lighting, space utilization, furniture, etc.) used to produce quality products.
Responsibilities
Work with vendors to start up and install new equipment at Bosch Roseville.
Prepare designs, layouts, drawings, and bills of material for major maintenance, facility improvements, and other projects.
Modify existing equipment and systems for the purpose of improving efficiency, safety, reliability, capacity, and cost effectiveness.
Troubleshoot problems with facility systems.
Develop corrective action proposals and recommendations.
Provide standard operating procedures and specifications governing the operation and maintenance of facility systems and equipment.
Develop installation packages for the hook-up, demolition, or relocation of production equipment.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, statutes, and codes; securing all required permits; and coordinating with appropriate local authorities.
Initiate and implement continuous improvement programs using metrics and reporting systems.
Train facilities mechanics as needed on systems to improve 24x7 response time.
