Job Description
Overall Purpose and Objective of Position
Maintain all company owned equipment including building, ground, and shop.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment, including floors, driveways, walls, etc.
Perform maintenance to building and grounds when needed.
Locate damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, plus measure, cut, thread and install pipe.
Under proper supervision remove, repair or replace worn or defective parts of machines, equipment, mechanism or hydraulic systems.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions and other wooden structures.
Maintain sprinkler system, pipe system and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
Make minor repairs, clean and service all company owned equipment. This includes the lift trucks, attachments, sweepers, scrubbers, golf carts, tractors, tugs, automobiles, trucks and other miscellaneous small equipment.
Lubricate truck, change batteries, fill fuel tank or replace liquefied gas tank. Blow lint and debris from radiator and engine compartments. Perform daily lift truck checks as required by OSHA.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other machinery parts.
Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction. Discuss machine operation variations with manager or other maintenance workers in order to diagnose problems and repair machines.
Set up and operate machine tools, such as grinder, drill and chainsaw.
Operate lift truck.
Keep shop area and personal work area clean and safe.
Perform all related responsibilities as required.

Required to regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities are required. These include good close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision. Good depth perception and the ability to focus are necessary.
Working Conditions
Duties are performed in outside weather conditions, working frequently near moving mechanical parts. Occasional work done in high, precarious places and could be exposed to fumes and cotton dust.

Supervises no other employees.

Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of duties.
