Job Description

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer who will be a Winter 2024 or Spring 2025 graduate with a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering.  The successful candidate will have a desire to work, grow, and have fun with a multi-discipline engineering team. They are passionate about engineering and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth and technical excellence.

The successful individual will have a passion for protecting lives from fire risks in the built environment. The ideal candidate will have a fire protection engineering degree, however, an engineering degree in other fields (mechanical, architectural, civil, etc.) with a demonstrated interest in fire protection will also be considered.

This position will support the team in providing our clients with: fire and life safety code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant rated construction analysis; automatic suppression system design and analysis; fire detection, alarm and communication system design and analysis; smoke control system design and special inspections; site inspections and witness of life safety system testing; fire hazard analysis; performance-based design; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts.

The Denver Fire Protection Engineering department collectively has 50+ years of experience in Fire Protection Engineering across our department of eight, all of whom will provide you with training, mentorship, and support to help you grow your career.
