Summary:

The purpose of the AVL Technician is to serve the different departments of Bethel Church using audio, video, and lighting technologies. This includes, but is not limited to, weekend services, classes, BSSM, events and conferences. As a key support position representing the Production Department, the AVL Technician will interface with pastoral and leadership teams at varying levels in preparation for classes and events. They will operate, maintain, setup, and teardown a wide-range of production equipment.

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Hours: 15 to 20 hours per week

Responsibilities:

Operate your assigned station (FOH, Monitors, Lighting, Resolume, etc) with a commitment to excellence and professionalism.

Come prepared and on time to work at the start of each shift. Clock your hours accurately to what you work each day.

Stay engaged during your shift to make sure you are ready in case a problem arises.

Connect with the leader / pastor and worship leader (if applicable) at the start of your assigned shift to find out any special needs before the event or class.

Complete shift reports immediately after key shifts.

Own your class or event from beginning to end – if gear is borrowed, return immediately after the completion of class or event. Clean the stage of cables, mic stands, trash, etc.

Follow current protocol to properly record / capture all classes and events.

If you observe a technical issue with something, take ownership of the problem. Small repairs may be completed on your own, or communicate with your supervisor and create a plan together.

Take care of all gear and equipment during your shift, follow shutdown protocol, and report any issues or concerns to your supervisor.

Attend all production staff meetings, as well as Bethel all staff meetings.

Support stage set changes for conferences, special events, and seasonal changes.

Be available for special captures, events, and projects as needed

Requirements

Qualifications / Certifications:

Believes and adheres to the beliefs and vision of Bethel Church.

1+ years of experience using AVL technologies and software – DiGiCo consoles, ProTools, GrandMA, Resolume, ProPresenter, etc.

Able to lift and carry heavy objects (50lbs)
