The Manufacturing Manager provides leadership, direction, and coordination of manufacturing and production control across the plant; with safety and quality at the forefront of all activities. 

Responsibilities

Leads and enables an employee engaged safety culture.

Provide a systems-based approach to product quality focused on prevention of defects, leading to a reduction in COPQ and scrap.

Lead and coordinate daily operations of the manufacturing plant.

Establish performance metrics and KPI’s that provide forward looking measurement, comparison, and/or evaluation of factors for improving and sustaining operational performance.

Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance.

Develop staffing models and analyze workforce requirements to ensure alignment to the sales forecast.

Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.

Lead, coach, and train employees toward team concepts and foster an environment of engagement and high performance.

Establish goals for production leadership team and monitor their progress towards those goals

Focus on continuous improvement utilizing a Lean and Six Sigma strategy.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent emotional intelligence skills and the ability to build a high performing team.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software

Strong background in enhancing and fully utilizing ERP software 

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business or related field preferred.

Five years of experience in a manufacturing/operations management, or similar relevant position required
