ABOUT THE POSITION
Come join our dynamic team of 20+ Water Resource professionals in Watertown, MA!
We’re looking for an Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer/Scientist with 0-1 year of experience to work with our existing water resource group and support our work in the areas of stormwater regulatory compliance work, stormwater policy and guidance development, among others.
Work would begin in the spring/summer 2025 and consist of a hybrid work setting.
Responsibilities
Provide support for stormwater regulatory compliance programs for state and local government clients
Perform field investigations including, but not limited to, stormwater system inspections, construction site inspections, stormwater system mapping, and water quality sampling
Develop data management tools in ArcGIS, including ArcGIS Online
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support water quality studies and plans
Develop innovative approaches for internal and client workflows
Prepare technical reports, graphics, and guidance documents
Support the development of federal, state, and local permit applications
Support stormwater program funding approaches, including preparing grant applications and developing stormwater enterprise funds
Skills and Attributes
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Highly motivated
Ability to solve problems and think creatively
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to think critically
Team oriented
Strong computer skills with experience with ArcGIS desired
Qualifications
0-1 year of civil/environmental engineering or environmental science experience
BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field strongly desired
Ability to perform fieldwork and travel to project sites
Familiarity with regulations associated with water quality and stormwater discharges desired
