Our Property & Casualty Auto and Fire Database Services team is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Database Designer/Administrator with a robust background in AWS. If you have a passion for helping teams design and optimize their database solutions, understand the critical importance of data security, and excel in both logical and physical database design, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do:

Design, Implement, and Maintain: Develop and maintain our database systems, focusing on leveraging AWS services.

Ensure Performance and Availability: Monitor database performance and ensure high availability and reliability.

Prioritize Security: Implement and uphold stringent data security measures.

Collaborate Closely: Work hand-in-hand with development and operations teams to support data-driven applications and solutions.

Optimize Solutions: Continuously improve and optimize database designs for efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications:

What we’re looking for:

Completed bachelor’s degree in computer science, data or software engineering, or related field.

2+ years of professional, post-internship work experience in a computer science, logical and physical database design or technology-related field.

2 + years of practical experience with ERwin and/or RStudio

Practical experience with building SQL queries.

Practical experience with AWS services and their application in database management.

Experience in gathering business requirements, researching data sources (internal and external), and developing and maintaining data assets.

Experience with developing solutions on AWS or other distributed compute platforms.

Ability to learn and adopt new technologies and languages.

Demonstrated track record of being resourceful, customer-focused, and thriving in a team environment.
