Overview:
Starting pay for this position is $16.83/hour.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Safety Companion II provides continuous, detailed observation and surveillance of assigned patients to maintain their safety. It is a dual role that includes observation at the bedside or by the use of audio/visual devices at an off-site location. The Safety Companion II will provide light patient care duties such as repositioning, ambulating, bathing, feeding, and other activities of daily living. The Safety Companion II will record pertinent information in patient charts and communicate with patient care team members to ensure continuity of care. Specific duties may vary according to department expectations and supportive services needed for specified groups of patients in assigned areas for all age groups, which will contribute to the comfort and well-being of the patient. The Safety Companion II will remain knowledgeable and supportive of patient and patient confidentiality and related hospital policies.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: N/A Experience: N/A Licensure/ Certification: CPR - BLS (within 90 days of onboarding) Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
