Overview:
City Way Animal Clinic-Fall Creek has an opportunity for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team!
Must have surgery skills. Need to be able to monitor anesthesia, place catheters, draw blood, and intubate.
City Way Animal Clinics is a group of small veterinary practices in Indianapolis dedicated to exemplary veterinary medicine and patient care, healthy lifestyles, client education, and employee well being, while maintaining honesty, integrity, fair pricing, and community involvement. We currently have four animal clinics in Fall Creek Place, Mass Ave, Fountain Square, and Irvington, plus Furr: Pet Spa and Wellness Clinic.
The ideal candidate would be assisting a Registered Veterinary Technician with/or performing the following tasks as permitted by Indiana guidelines; surgical prep, anesthetic administration and monitoring, IV catheter placement and maintenance, anesthetic recovery and communication with clients about pre-surgical and post-surgical expectation
Location: You will be based at one location, but some flexibility may be needed to work at our 4 vet clinic locations
Fall Creek Location:
Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30a-6p, and Saturday 8a-1p. 4 day work week + every other Saturday.
Compensation: $19 - $20 per hour based on experience
Job Summary: The Veterinary Assistant aids and supports the medical support team in the operation of an animal facility in accordance with Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP) hospital policy and procedures. The Veterinary Assistant also provides medical care to patients as allowed in the veterinary practice act.

The employee must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
The employee must also be confident around pets.
