You will serve patients daily in a multitude of ways:

Compensation for this position ranges from $24 - $26 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Supports management and leadership
Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
EMR (Electronic Medical Record) data entry
Obtaining vital signs on each patient
Assist physician with gathering patient history
Ensures patients are prepared for their planned procedures including proper education, follow-up plans and post procedure instructions
Draft preliminary reports and letters for the physician through the EMR system
Present reports and letters to physician for revision and final approval
Greet patients and escort them to the exam rooms
Fit and measure patients for compression stockings
Take before and after pictures of patients
Assist with the preparation of medications and filling syringes, as permitted by state law
Ensure that rooms are stocked accordingly
Assist the Ultrasound Tech with the ordering of all medical supplies
Clean and prepare rooms
Assist with room and tray set up for patient procedures
Prepare and maintain charts for new and existing patients. Verify that all information is correct and up to date
General administrative duties as directed by Office Manager
Confirm insurance benefits as noted on patient chart
Demonstrating knowledge of scheduling
Strong organization with attention to detail
Analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Communicating with patients about their weight loss journey through emails, phone, Zoom calls, and face-to-face conversations
Managing patient accounts with contact information, insurance and financial information in a confidential manner
Scheduling patient visits and answer questions, including billing and weight loss journey from start to finish
Coordinating all surgical procedures for patients and communicate with medical facilities such as hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers
Ensuring services comply with state and federal regulatory requirements
Teamwork to coordinate with Doctors and other health care personnel
Strong verbal communication skills to communicate with patients and the health care team
People skills to connect emotionally with patients
Experience in either Patient Experience or Customer Service
Patient Care Coordinators are to be in-office (where applicable), and may be required to travel, as meeting New Patients face-to-face adds to the patient’s experience
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor degree preferred
Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) preferred
Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
Strong organizational skills
