Job Details:
RN Residency ED RN 7a/7:30p.
Selection Criteria-
-New Graduate from BSN Program
-Overall required GPA 3.3, Nursing GPA 3.5
-Application Submission, Interview ED leadership, ED staff and Human resources
Required: BLS certification
Residency Program: The 52 week, three 12.5 hour shift, curriculum consists of classroom didactics, skill labs, simulation labs, a two-week critical care course, and clinical hours with the Clinical Nurse Educators and preceptors. After the first 16-week of the program, the nursing residents are transitioned to a full-time clinical setting with their preceptors, which includes a two-week rotation with The emergency Department Critical Care nurse.
During 1 year program-
ACLS and PALS certification will be obtained
8 CEUs of Stroke and 4 CEUs of Trauma will be obtained
Trauma nursing certification
Essential Critical Care Orientation Class
