Overview:
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking On-Call Banquet Server to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The On-Call Banquet Server will be responsible for consistently delivering positive, courteous, and professional guest service during banquet meal function and in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
Responsibilities:
Set up banquet meal functions as prescribed by the Banquet Event order
Perform tableside or buffet food preparation and service as required
Ensure that banquet work station is clean and stocked with all items needed for the banquet function
Inform supervisor of any problems and/or guest complaints
Clean off all glasses, silver, china, etc. from all dinner tables, reception tables, and buffet tables during and after the function
Greet guests as needed and continually monitors guests to ensure that their needs are met
If appropriate, serves all alcoholic beverages knowledgeably and in strict compliance with all applicable alcoholic beverage Texas state laws
Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred 5-star hotel setting
Must have a working knowledge of beverages, food, wines and different styles of service
Bartending experience is strongly preferred in a banquet setting
Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
Must be able to perform hand carried service and carrying 3 plates at a time
Physical demands: Must have the ability to carry a tray up to 25lbs of food or dirty dishes
