The Role
The Senior Financial Analyst in Global FP&A is a vital role within the finance department, responsible for providing advanced financial planning and analysis on a global scale. This individual will play a key role in delivering detailed financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and offering financial guidance to senior management and key stakeholders.
The Senior Financial Analyst partners with regional teams to drive optimized business performance across all core markets. They contribute to the development and execution of commercial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical insights that enable informed and data-driven decision-making across the business.
As part of the Global Finance & Planning team, you will support global reporting, financial analysis, and business process improvements across regions including North America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Latin America. Leveraging analytics, reporting, and problem-solving skills, you will ensure best practices are consistently aligned, implemented, and reported across all business units. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Leadership team at both the Corporate and Regional levels to enhance financial performance and support global initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking for the global cost centers. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, highlighting key insights and trends to support decision-making.
Business Partnering: Act as a trusted finance business partner to the global team and other cost center owners across the organization. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives, identify financial opportunities and risks, and provide proactive recommendations to optimize cost efficiencies and drive financial performance.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cost center owners to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts for the global function. Assist in the consolidation and analysis of budget and forecast data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios, investment opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives. Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess the potential financial impacts of various strategic decisions.
Cost Management: Monitor and analyze actual expenses against budgeted amounts for the global cost centers. Identify cost-saving opportunities, efficiency improvements, and areas for optimization. Provide guidance and recommendations to cost center owners to achieve financial targets and improve cost control.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial planning and analysis processes, tools, and methodologies. Recommend and implement enhancements to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis.
Prepare Monthly and Quarterly PowerPoint Presentations: Create compelling and visually engaging PowerPoint presentations to communicate financial performance, forecasts, and insights to senior management and stakeholders. Effectively present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Manage Monthly Financial Close: Oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring all P&L items are accurately reported, reconciliations are completed, and variances are analyzed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, maintain timelines, and ensure the integrity of financial data for reporting and decision-making purposes.
Basic Requirements
Experience / Training / Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on global or multinational organizations. (CPA/MBA is a plus)
Proven work experience in a quantitatively heavy role
Knowledge of
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience a plus
Experience in Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or other business intelligence software

The current range for this role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $100,000/yr. to $110,000/yr.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
