Schedule:
Days: Monday-Friday, Day Shift
Occasional: One Saturday per month

Annual Performance Bonus: Up to $8,000 annually based on performance objectives and metrics
Job Summary:
The OR Charge RN plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the Surgical Services team within a multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center. This position requires a blend of leadership, guidance, supervision, and hands-on nursing care. The OR Charge RN will ensure that the Surgical Services team operates efficiently and effectively, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. This role also involves direct patient care, applying scientific nursing principles to ensure the best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and support the Surgical Services team in the operating room.
Provide direct nursing care to patients, ensuring individualized care based on nursing principles.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Operating Room, ensuring a smooth workflow and adherence to protocols.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and surgical outcomes.
Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room, following all infection control guidelines.
Mentor and train staff members, promoting professional growth and development within the team.
Participate in the evaluation and implementation of performance objectives and metrics, contributing to the annual performance bonus.
Education, Licensure, and Certification Requirements:
Required:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
At least 1 year of OR Charge RN experience
Minimum of 2+ years of OR RN experience
Current NYS RN license
Preferred:
Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred
