Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. As an OR RN, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care delivery in the surgical setting using the nursing process. You will assess patients, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes. Your role will be crucial in promoting safe passage for patients throughout the surgical encounter, ensuring no preventable complications or delays.
Essential Functions:
Clinical Judgment: Conduct accurate clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans.
Clinical Inquiry: Participate in quality/performance improvement initiatives and contribute to evidence-based practice changes.
Caring Practices: Create a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff, managing both emotional and physical pain to promote healing.
Response to Diversity: Incorporate patient and family differences into individualized care plans, respecting culture, beliefs, and values.
Advocacy and Moral Agency: Protect patient confidentiality, autonomy, and dignity, representing their concerns and resolving ethical and clinical issues.
Facilitation of Learning: Educate patients, families, and staff throughout the continuum of care, assessing and documenting learning outcomes.
