Overview:
The Inspector Intern is responsible for conducting building inspections for residential, commercial and industrial properties.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring daily compliance and resolving daily construction related issues.
Ensure quality in all inspections in an efficient manner.
Verify that materials, equipment, and procedures are as specific for the project, as well as testing of procedure qualification test results.
Must have an understanding of specifications and plans required for given projects.
Communicate with clients, contractors, other inspectors and supervisors regarding specifications and plans required for given projects.
Review shop drawings and quality of construction work per the contract specifications and plans.
Evaluation and troubleshooting of existing construction.
Travel to work sites.
Prepare written reports in accordance with qualification tests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or similar discipline.
0-2 years’ experience in construction, engineering and/or architecture in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Valid driver's license.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Independent and critical thinking
The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time
Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronic
Problem-solving and decision-making skills, plus the ability to speak
Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.
