The successful candidate will be highly-motivated and a self-starter and will play a key role in design of municipal water and wastewater facilities, including but not limited to treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and linear infrastructure rehabilitation and replacement.

Responsibilities:
Performing engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure
Work on engineering planning and design projects
Prepare reports
Develop plans and specifications
Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
System modeling
Permitting and alternatives analysis
Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
Data entry and analysis
Provide engineering services during construction
Participate in field activities such as pilot testing, construction phase observations, design phase field measurements, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental or other similar Engineering field
Minimum academic requirements include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
Engineer-in-Training Certification
Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work well in a team environment
Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM)
