Overview:

Title Examiner

We are in the business of home ownership and looking for a Default Title Examiner who will find a career home with us. This non-exempt role is for someone who loves details and data, as you will be responsible for independently ensuring proper chain of title for a property, an important part of our everyday operations.

What you will do

Research, Data Analysis, Reporting

Examines titles to determine legal condition of property title.

Summarize recorded documents affecting the condition of title to the property

Abstract and analyze records such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books to determine ownership and legal restrictions

As needed, provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines

Prepare loan modification documentation with the application of procedural guidelines

Prepare and review ad-hoc reports for accuracy

Problem-Solving

Resolve issues associated with missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information contained in title documentation

Communicate and Collaborate

Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, team members, and leaders

Respond to regular requests and inquiries by email, phone, chat, or other means

Additional duties as assigned

What you will bring

High School Diploma or Equivalent

2+ years of multi-state default title examination experience.

Strong customer service skills and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with MS Office Applications and Adobe

Extreme attention to detail and analytical skills

Clear sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work overtime as required

Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
