WHAT YOU’LL DO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs

• Perform preventative maintenance task to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to:

testing/repairing cables, testing/repairing various hardware components

• Maintain & upkeep of all monitor-based systems throughout Center

• Maintain & upkeep of all projection-based systems throughout Center

• Develop and document manuals for basic and detailed Center AV usage

• Maintain all microphone & speaker systems within the Center

• Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses, monitors and equipment fans.

• Responsible for job site documentation as needed

• Field installation of control programs (Crestron/Firmware) – upload and download capability

• Field service support of control programs (Crestron/etc.) – minor edits (could be with the aid of a

programmer), compile, upload and download capability

• Field service support of networked devices (Routers, IP Protocols, etc.)

• Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: meeting

support, installing connectors, video/audio recording support

• Work with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL

• Provide client training as needed

• Adhere to and understand local safety standards for all site duties

• Setup and troubleshoot various audio/video systems.

• Travel to various job sites as required

Other duties assigned as needed

Additional Client-facing Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support special events in other conference room areas when asked.

*Example: Requested to mic up and support VIP clients during large events

• Take professional photographs for all events (both group and action photographs). Edit photographs and send to event planner to distribute.

• Work with the customer IT Department to schedule security patch updates to servers. After installation, all equipment to include servers are tested.

• Attend customer weekly meeting with event planning group (2 meetings per week)

• Also attend planning meetings with client for upcoming events.

• Schedule and conduct a Tech Check with clients before their event to ensure the laptops/presentations

work with the conference room equipment.

• Troubleshoot and identify old & new issues then escalate to the AVI team if a 3rd party needs to get involved.

• Assist with uploading content to CMS and then make changes when client needs adjustments to their product.

• Assist with technical discussion of ways to improve collaboration solutions and functionality the client would like to see.

• Assist video and photography teams that come in to film, stream, shoot VIP and Executive events.  Support live CNBC quarterly earnings appearances.

• Perform cleaning checks on screens on the walls, displays and any other client interfacing equipment.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

• Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues

• Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner

• Ability to manage small to medium projects

• Ability to solder & crimp connectors

• Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines

• Basic computer knowledge

• Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control

• Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice-To-Haves:

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred

• Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred

• Preferred external training:

o InfoComm Quick Start to the Audio-Visual Industry

o InfoComm CTS General Certification
