Overview:
Interested in running your business within our business with all the resources and horsepower of a 5,000 person, privately held, one-profit center growth focused firm behind you? This individual will have an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for a local Aviation practice. This individual will also be provided the support to develop and grow their own projects and clients and team around them. This individual will also be provided the support to develop and grow their own projects, clients and team around them. This person will be responsible for leading the business development effort, managing relationships with key clients and leading/completing project tasks. Markets are not limited by geography but driven by relationships. The successful candidate will have a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business.
Responsibilities:
Review design documents & drawings for airside and landside Aviation projects, including grading, drainage, pavement design, specifications, and construction safety plans
Collaborating and/or coordinating design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians
AutoCAD Civil 3D design
Lead, support, and delegate work to project team.
Support planning and design of airport projects as requested
Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction
Supervise and coordinate the work product of Analysts and other technical staff on various transportation/aviation engineering projects
Operating with integrity and sound business principals
Providing practice vision, business planning and strategy, establishing goals
Building and maintaining positive client relationships
Open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing a roadway practice
Establishing and cultivating client relationships
Identifying and tracking leads
Making presentations
Writing proposals and scope of work
Ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables, and supervising the execution of work
Qualifications:
4+ years of aviation engineering design experience
Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating
Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circular’s and Engineering Briefs
Familiarity with pavement design and FAAR Field Design Software
Strong desire and passion to be engaged with clients solving project problems and working with the team to deliver
Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation experience
Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $185,000
