Responsibilities:
The Central Sterile Technician assumes responsibility for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies, instrumentation and equipment dispensed to all surgical locations and other house-wide areas. Also participates in receipt, storage and distribution of supplies needed for Operating Room case carts as well as single supplies needed by patient care departments throughout the facility.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required
One year experience in a Central Sterile Processing department.
Graduation from an accredited CSS training program. (Requirement only applies when waiting to become certified)
Certification in Central Sterile Processing or Certified within 1 year of hire
