Position:

The Investment Associate is a key member of the advisor team with a focus on financial analysis and modeling of potential investments, management of client allocations, trading, and client relationship management. The position encompasses fundamental analysis of equity and debt positions in both public and private markets, and accounting and due diligence of both existing and prospective investments. The role also involves coordination of and communication around various team strategies, including an equity portfolio, an option portfolio, and several customized structured products.

Responsibilities:

Investment Management (Trading)

Oversee the execution of trades for our in-house strategies

Work within Envestnet for trading requests through third-party managers

Organize the execution of quarterly Structured Notes investments

Oversee client insurance and annuities processes

Completing investment subscription documents

Investment Management (Analysis)

Work closely with Portfolio Managers on investment selection, tactical timing, and sizing/risk management

Assist in analysis of portfolio risk and risk mitigation techniques including hedging.

Analysis of portfolio returns and contributors/detractors on both an absolute basis and relative to benchmarks when appropriate.

Interact with wholesalers and management teams of existing and prospective investments.

Provide economic and market analysis to team and clients

Client Relationship Management

Assist in preparation of key documents, PowerPoint presentations and reports for client meetings

Attend client meetings as necessary and present client performance

Monitor and maintain client allocations to align with updated team targets

Client Solutions

Speaking with clients, gathering information, inputting planning data, and preparing/communicating financial plans (specifically in Addepar)

Business Development

Assist with the creation and maintaining of team and strategy marketing material

Qualifications:

3+ years prior client service experience within financial industry, or equivalent experience

3+ years of research & financial analysis experience in the investment field covering various industries and companies

Bachelor’s degree required in related field;

Series 7 & 66 preferred or willingness to obtain

CFA, CFP, and/or MBA preferred

Experience with equities, bonds, complex option structures, alternatives, and structured notes

Experience with the financial planning software Addepar is preferred

Skills:

Strong understanding of equity, debt and option investing

Strong skills in working with investment-related data services including Bloomberg & FactSet

Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Understanding option structures and how they can solve for various goals

Understanding of private markets and alternative investments

Experience with financial planning software is a plus (eMoney/Addepar)

Strong client facing, interpersonal, organizational, and client service skills

Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and organize workflow

Ability to adapt to constantly changing market conditions, reporting needs and requirements
