Overview:

Our Strategy & Corporate development team is looking to accelerate HireRight’s growth engine to an even higher level. We are looking for a highly talented Director to join us on this mission. This will be a unique opportunity for an individual with strong analytic and communication skills, and ability to consistently apply structured approaches to address challenging strategic and operational issues. 

The successful candidate will leverage his/her experience to lead and manage the development, strategic and financial evaluation of M&A opportunities through due diligence and close of the transaction. He/She will conduct analysis of key market, customer, competitive product and technology trends to assess organic and inorganic growth opportunities. He/She will have significant interaction across the Executive Leadership team, particularly with Business GMs and operating leaders to develop the strategic and long-range plan. 

Responsibilities:

Conduct rigorous market and financial analysis including business case, build vs. buy modeling, ROI etc. to provide detailed guidance on potential acquisitions and other strategic opportunities (e.g., new market entry, product launches) 

Perform and support financial analysis, synergies forecast, valuation and due diligence of potential acquisitions 

Conduct analyses of key market, customer, competitive, product and technology trends to assess organic and inorganic growth opportunities 

Develop, in partnership with Business Unit leaders, annual strategic and long-range plans 

Manage broad, multi-functional stakeholders to effectively gather subject matter expert input, align leadership team and drive to actions 

Prepare presentations and reporting to senior management on potential M&A transactions, capital structure, and strategic growth initiatives 

Qualifications:

5 years of work experience in corporate strategy/development, management consulting, investment banking, private equity or FP&A 

10+ years of total professional experience with growing levels of responsibility 

MBA preferred 

Expert and hands-on modeling experience 

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (ability to build complex operating, financial, and valuation models to evaluate transaction economics) 

Strong financial, research and analytical skills with ability to extract insights from data and make informed recommendations 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner 

A keen interest in understanding background screening industry trends and competitive dynamics 

A self-starter mentality with the ability to work autonomously to drive projects to completion 

Proficiency with spreadsheet (and slideshow presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides) 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, a related field, and/or equivalent work experience; MBA is a plus
