Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Quality Engineering Intern in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for performing aspects of manufacturing and distribution operations activities, as applies to production, quality & reliability, warehousing, and global product distribution to include process design/improvement, process documentation and checklist, cost/benefit analysis of projects, and reporting of results to management.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Work with Quality Engineers on complex projects across multiple functional areas, managing ongoing action items while tracking and reporting progress
Identify/analyze issues through various data analysis methods to determine if further investigation is required
Understand/apply quality tools to aid in data analysis and issue resolution
Participate in implementation of process and quality tools enhancements
Support root cause analysis of recurring quality issues and implementation of process/design improvement
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Proficient using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Superior organizational/analytical skills with keen attention to detail/quality
Desired Qualifications
Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
Previous experience in Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehousing, or Distribution Operations
Fluent in statistical analysis
