Overview:

We are seeking a Project Manager II to support the Education & Facilities Sector. This role requires 10 years of project and construction management experience. As a Project Manager II, you’ll oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning and development to execution. Your responsibilities include managing project scope, budgets, and schedules, coordinating with stakeholders, and addressing project challenges. With a minimum of 10 years of project management experience and a background in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, you’ll play a key role in our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Project planning and development
Develop and control project scope
Develop and maintain project budgets
Develop and review project schedules
Review and coordinate the preparation of construction documents
Run the day-to-day management aspects of projects in a fast-paced environment
Facilitate project team and client meetings
Negotiate and prepare change orders
Monitor and coordinate construction activities with the various project stakeholders
Respond effectively to project issues and challenges
Recognize and elevate relevant project issues to superiors
Set and manage project expectations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years (PM II) of project management and concurrent field construction experience.
Licensed professional or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
Education background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Work experience in project planning and development.
Ability to independently manage all aspects of a project.
Ability to develop and control project scope.
Ability to develop and maintain project budgets.
Ability to develop and review project schedules.
Skilled in reviewing and coordinating the preparation of construction documents.
Ability to effectively facilitate project team and client meetings.
Ability to effectively negotiate and prepare change orders.
Ability to effectively monitor and coordinate construction activities with the various project stakeholders.
Ability to adapt and respond effectively to project issues and challenges.
Ability to set and manage project expectations.
Must be knowledgeable in CEQA/NEPA.
Preferred:
Design-Bid-Build project delivery.
Job Order Contracting (JOC) project delivery
Knowledge of Public Contracting Code and practices.
Knowledge of LEED
Experience and knowledgeable in medical/healthcare/behavioral health facility design and construction
Salary range: $151,000 - $160,0000 per year.
Location: Los Angeles, Hybrid, Four-Day/Ten-Hour schedule.
