Position Summary:

Our St. Louis, MO office has the opportunity for an experienced Site Support Specialist to join the Firm’s expanding technology department. The Site Support Specialist’s primary responsibilities are 1) the front-line PC/LAN and software support for 35+ end-users in the St. Louis office; and 2) the development, coordination and support of webinars, recordings and training sessions. Duties include developing training materials, scheduling of studio time, setup and testing, supporting and recording sessions, media production and the maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Regular schedule is 8:30AM-5:30PM Monday through Friday with some overtime as needed. As part of the West Region Technology Support team, assist with providing technology support to offices in the Central Region, including travel to these locations as needed. Will participate or project manage projects/tasks assigned for local, regional, or firm-wide initiatives

Essential Functions:

Studio Support and Coordination

Develop PowerPoint TurningPoint presentations

Set up studio for use with technology services (e.g. presentations, network connections, Webex event center and training center)

Operate Audio Video equipment and Presentation software during events.

Maintain Audio and Video and computer equipment.

Coordination, planning and arrangement of live events such as seminars

Technology Site Support

Front-line desktop support for technology related issues and requests. Ensure end-users are supported quickly and efficiently for incidents, problems, and requests.

User administration including new employee onboarding and offboarding.

Keeps accurate inventory of supported office’s equipment

Regularly communicates with Office Administrators to ensure local office support expectations are met as it pertains to technology.

Acts as the local office(s) liaison and end-user (customer) advocate when needing support from other technology department teams.

Works with other IT Department teams and firm departments in performing tasks associated with firm technology

Participates in projects that may require travel to other firm offices

Contributes to the good of the IT Department, local office(s), and the entire firm; adds value to the operations of the local (home-based) office and the firm

The following are some of the technologies used in the office that would be supported by the Site Support Specialist:

Studio Technology: Microphones, Headsets, Speakers/Sound System, Video Cameras, Video Displays, Teleprompters, Webex Event Center and Training Center or similar web platforms, Microsoft PowerPoint, TurningPoint

PC Systems: Dell desktops and HP and Lenovo laptops

LAN Devices: Cisco switches, modems, APC UPSs, PDUs, Dell Windows servers

Office Machines: Ricoh and OCE multifunction devices, fax machines, HP printers/scanner, Billback terminals, conference room audio/visual equipment

Desktop Software: Windows 10, Microsoft Office, FileSite (Document Management System), SCCM

Telephony

Mobile Device Setup and Support

Requirements:

4+ years experience in a technical support position

4+ years Audio/Visual support and coordination experience.

Experience with web conferencing tools (WebEx a plus)

Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and TurningPoint presentation best practices.

Strong organizational skills. Independent

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Superior troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Good understanding and experience with network and client infrastructure: such as backup strategies, server hardware, Microsoft server and client software.

Law firm experience a major plus.

Relative technology certification a plus.

Media production experience preferred

Document Management/Interwoven 8.x experience preferred

Smartphone (android, iPhone) provision and troubleshooting preferred
