Overview:

Creates hot and cold beverages and food items upon request, such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, tea, and smoothies. Operates Point of Sale (POS) system to process guests’ orders. Sells other food items and packaged purchases as needed.

Responsibilities:

Takes guests’ orders for various hot and cold beverages and other food items.

Creates hot and cold beverages using established ingredients, measurements, techniques, and standards; adjusts recipe as requested by guests.

Delivers exceptional guest service (i.e., prompt, friendly, professional, and responsive), using proper greeting and departure phrases and service standards established by F&B management.

Maintains RBS parameters on service of alcoholic beverages, identifying guests showing signs of intoxication; informs supervisor or manager on duty with any concerns.

Provides guests with details of beverage menu and food offerings.

Packages orders as needed or requested, including any food accompaniments, napkins, and utensils. 

Records all sales, collects money, follows the Loyalty program guidelines, operates a point-of-sale system, and follows all cash handling procedures.

Fulfills end of shift cashier closing duties such as closing side work, cash bank settlements to Cage/Vault, POS system card re-sets, and organizing receipts, comps, or other necessary payment verifications for Revenue Audit collection.

Maintains coffee bar, dining and retail areas in a neat and sanitary manner and disposes of trash.

Cleans, sweeps, mops, and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils as needed and according to procedures.

Ensures all sugars, condiments, creamers, etc. remain stocked at all times.

Maintains inventory and submits requisitions as needed.

Provides information on resort amenities, events, promotions, etc. in order to increase levels of guest service.

Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Certificate.

Must obtain food handlers card and register in the RBS Portal, take training from an authorized RBS Training Provider, and pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification exam within 30 days.

Prior experience as a barista is preferred.

Knowledge of coffee products is preferred.

Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.

Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, POS systems, email, and internet.

Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.

Native American hiring preference applies.
