Job Details:
Responsibilities:
Assists in the preparation, dispensing, and repackaging of medications
Procure medications accurately according to dispensation indicators
Prepackages and labels medications,
Maintain and replenish pharmacy automation systems
Assists in the maintenance of dispensation records
As directed by pharmacy management or designee, audit, review, file records of controlled substances, ensures compliance with regulations
Advises nursing and pharmacy administrators of controlled substance discrepancies
Assists in discrepancy resolution of controlled and non-controlled drugs
Ensures proper storage of pharmacy inventory and supplies
Issues controlled substances and prescription pads as per departmental policy under the direct supervision of a pharmacist
Ensures appropriate inventory on hand at all times and maintains required inventory levels
Obtains appropriate signatures when issuing/delivering controlled substances and prescription pads
Conduct medication deliveries as required
Performs related duties as required
Maintain continuing education as required
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required
Experience:
Previous experience as pharmacy technician preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
Current license as a registered pharmacy technician in New York State, required
PTCB or NHA certification, required
Must be available to work every 3rd weekend.

USD $29.92 - USD $37.41 /Hr.
